Sexuality and the Church

For many years the Church has played a major role in the lives of people and nations ranging from acts of compassion to acts of cruelty such as the Spanish Inquisition. Now as we find ourselves in the 21st century we once again find the Church in a controversial role of playing the moral police. However, the controversy is a case of many members of the clergy being exposed for crimes of sexual misconduct. What is most disturbing is how long it has taken for church leaders to act on holding those that are involved accountable. In some cases, it took the local civil authorities to bring justice. In the meantime, the victims of these crimes have had to wait many years for justice to prevail. How did it come to this? How is it that the institution that appointed itself as the moral police can be found guilty of the vary crimes they are supposed to prevent. They teach and preach one thing behind the pulpit, but practice something different behind the scenes. Now with the Churches creditability being ruined how can they be trusted to do what they preach and teach? Then we have the lobbyist that represent Organized Religion. Many battles have been fought in the political arena in order to legislate morality. This is why WE THE PEOPLE need to be involved in politics and we need to do our part by voting on election day. Also, we need to educate ourselves on issues that deal with sexuality and our civil liberties that are protected in the Constitution. This is why I founded (Jucygtoys Sexual Wellness Community Forums). The purpose is to promote sexual wellness and to act as a watchdog on issues that deal with sexual wellness and our civil liberties that protect sexual wellness.
